CHILDREN NEED FAMILIES.
Families need community.

VOLUNTEER SUPPORT ROLES

If foster or adoptive parenting is not where you sense God’s calling,  Arizona 1.27 highly encourages you to get involved in one of these relational opportunities where you can impact children and families:

  • CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)
  • Foster Care Review Board
  • Become a Mentor
  • Wrap Around Teams

The foster care or adoptive ministry at your church may have unique volunteer opportunities that you can join.  If you are unsure who to contact at your church, please let us know and we will connect you.

Wrap Around Teams:
Support Families in Your Church

A family surrounded with support is more likely to have long term success in foster care and be a stable home for kids to thrive.   Statistically, across our state, many children cycle in and out of homes, causing further trauma with each displacement.

We believe that having a support team in place can make a significant difference between a successful or disrupted placement.  Its for this reason that we encourage a strong community to come around each family.

Every foster family is asked to gather 4-6 people to be on their “Wrap Around Team.”  This team commits to be available to meet practical, tangible and spiritual needs like bringing meals, babysitting, providing transportation and offering encouragement and prayer.

Once you are on a Wrap Around Team training is provided to help you better understand how to support the unique needs of this family.

If you are interested in being on a Wrap Around Team let us know and we will facilitate getting you connected at your church.
