Basic Training is a one-day faith training that serves as an introduction to the ministry of foster care and adoption (about 5 hours).

Prospective/current foster and adoptive families will be introduced to a Biblical view on foster care and adoption and help you decide if this is the season for you to pursue taking in a child from a hard place and resource you if you already have a placement.

Prospective/current foster and adoptive families will also hear more about the next steps in the foster/adoption process and real life experiences from other Christians in the Valley.

Finally, parents will hear more about building your support team and resources once you have a placement.

There are lectures, group interaction, couple/individual activities, and short videos every hour. Over lunch you will hear from a parent panel and engage in multiple Q & A times throughout the day. Materials are included..
