Correcting: A Trauma Informed Approach – Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Caregiver Training

Are you a foster/adoptive parent, teacher, mentor or CASA or just interested in how to better care + connect with children from hard places? Whatever your role in caring for at-risk children – we’d like to invite you to register for a powerful 3-part training: TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention) Caregiver Training.
This training will be a series of THREE 7-hour classes that will cover the following and will take place from 8:30-3:30 on the following dates:
(August 17) Connecting Principles: Gain insight into your own attachment style and how it can impact your relationships with children. Learn ways to strengthen attachments with children from hard places through attunement, nurturing touch, eye contact, playful engagement and giving voice.
(September 14) Empowering Principles: How to Empower your children physiologically through a structured, sensory rich environment, as well as introduce strategic self-regulation tools and ideas.
(October 19) Correcting Principles: Learn proactive and responsive strategies such as offering choices, compromises, sharing power and using life value terms to help children with challenging behaviors.
All three classes will take place in the east valley (specific location TBS) from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm on the dates specified.
It is highly recommended that the classes be taken in order. If you are only able to take class 1 or 2 – the other classes can be taken at a later time. However, you will NOT be able to attend class 3 until classes 1 or 2 have been completed.
The cost of the class is $20, per class – per person. $50 for a single person to attend all 3 or $85 for a couple to attend all 3 classes. This fee includes all materials + lunch.
